The Staten Island Tour
Some New Yorkers call Staten Island "The Forgotten Borough" - well, NOT BY US! As one of New York's Five Boroughs, we assure you, and we will show you why, it is definitely not forgotten, and why it’s worth the trip. As a child growing up in NYC we would often take the famous Staten Island Ferry ride, just because, hey it was only 5¢. At the time, 1964, there was no bridge yet.
Admittedly, Staten Island is a bit of an excursion, coming and going, beginning with crossing the entrance to New York's famed Upper Harbor, by way of New York's biggest suspension bridge, The Verrazzano Narrows Bridge (featured prominently in John Travolta's film "Saturday Night Fever"), but like we said “it’s worth it!
We will collaborate with you to choose from some of the following sites to create your personal tour of Staten Island (please allow 6 hours for this tour, travel time included)
Whether it’s Richmond County Ballpark (home of The NY Yankees minor league team), or Cookies rated Zagat’s BEST, Staten Island has something for everybody. If it’s a Pizzeria challenge? Staten Islanders say “Bring it on”
We recommend reserving ahead to plan a visit, some sites are Subject to Availability, Open and Closed days/times, Cost of admission, etc.
